RoHS Statement

Toby

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive, introduced on July 1st 2006, is now a legal requirement. The RoHS directive restricts the use of certain substances in electrical and electronic products, including Lead (Pb), Mercury (Hg), Cadmium (Cd), Hexavalent Chromium (Cr6), Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE).

As a franchised distributor sourcing from suppliers worldwide, Toby Electronics Ltd does not manufacture any of the products we sell. We have been working with all our suppliers and where available have only purchased compliant or RoHS exempt components since mid 2005. In early 2006 our stores were cleared of non-compliant stock.

Where required we are still able to source non-compliant parts, but these must be specifically requested in writing by the customer and are purchased on a back-to- back basis, with no stock above the customer’s requirement being held at Toby.

Please consider that the substance composition of the parts supplied by Toby Electronics Ltd is part specific. Therefore, if you are concerned about the composition of a specific part or parts, please contact us with the details and we will endeavour to verify the part composition for you with the relevant manufacturer.

Regards,

Reg Crump Operations Manager

Toby Electronics Ltd
